Gather your multicultural assembly for nine days, from December 3–11, through Spanish and bilingual songs, rosary prayers for each day of the novena and reflections written by Dr. Hosffman Ospino, asking for the intercession of the Virgin of Guadalupe, leading to celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

The collection includes bilingual songs such as “María, Madre del Señor/O Holy Mary,” “Santa María del Camino/Come as We Journey,” “Virgencita del Tepeyac/Hail, Virgin of Tepeyac,” and “Viva la Virgen Ranchera/Hail, Virgin of Tepeyac.” The last two titles have been given an English setting for the first time, so English speakers can join their voices with Hispanic Catholics as their hearts pray to la Morenita.

The new bilingual song “María, Oh Dulce Virgen/María, O Blessed Virgin” will be a great addition for choirs to sing in the Mass to commemorate the Solemnity of Our Lady of Guadalupe or in Masses dedicated to Mary throughout the liturgical year.

Songs like “Las Apariciones Guadalupanas” and “Buenos Días, Paloma Blanca” are traditional songs that most Mexican Catholics already hold dear. However, this devotion is not exclusive to Mexican Catholics, since most Spanish-speaking Catholics around the world not only recognize, but also pray to the Virgin of Guadalupe every December.

The book, available in print and digital format, will be not only a devotional, but an educational tool as well. Its bilingual prayers and reflections offer the opportunity for families to teach younger generations how to pray a novena. Guitar chords are also included in the book, allowing families, prayer groups, and communities to play music together or to sing along with the CD on these nine nights.

This unique resource will help join Spanish and English-speaking Catholics to practice this devotion together and no matter their origin or language, all can join this expression of our Catholic faith.
